About

Professor of Reinforced Concrete Structures at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University (1994 – Present). Since 2004, he has been leading the “Planning, Assessment, and Quality Assurance” program at the DRTPC Center (the largest specialized center at Cairo University), serving as head of its Programs Division and its first appointed director, and supervising Cairo University’s electronic projects across numerous major national initiatives. He is a permanent member of the Scientific Promotion Committees at Cairo University, and has served on several engineering consultancy committees including “Pre-Qualification,” “Professional Practice,” and “Engineering Regulation” at the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate since 2010. He served as Secretary General of the Egyptian Engineers Association until 2018, and has been a member since 1975. He also served as president until 2005. He is a member of the Arab Engineers Federation Board and the Structural Engineering Committee of the Arab Engineers Union. He has supervised and examined numerous doctoral theses, including those of prominent professors such as Dr. Abdulwahab Hassan, Dr. Kamel Saif, Dr. Abdel Rahman, Dr. Hassan Gamal, and others. He has participated in many major projects and has extensive experience in professional practice across the fields of construction, transportation, housing, telecommunications, and development.
